About us

Agria

Agria was founded in Sweden in 1890 and initially offered insurance for equine and cattle. Since then, we have expanded our offerings and today Agria provides insurance solutions for all animals.

Welcome to Agria

Agria's mission is to create safety for animals and people by being present throughout the entire life of the animal. By offering flexible insurance solutions and veterinary advice, we aim to be a part of a more carefree life with animals. With the vision of becoming the largest and most sustainable animal insurance company in Europe, Agria began its internationalization in 2005 and by 2024, we are the second largest, active in 8 countries and growing.

Partners

FEI

Agria and the FEI share a commitment to responsible guardianship of the horse, bringing joint expertise to advancing equine wellbeing. Through meaningful knowledge sharing and a proactive approach to care, we help safeguard horses' health and wellbeing at every stage, giving riders and owners the confidence and peace of mind to enjoy the sport at its best. Together, we are strengthening a safer, more supportive environment across the equestrian community.

Partners

International Partnership for Dogs (ipfdogs)

Agria partners with the International Partnership for Dogs (IPFD) because lasting improvements in dog health and welfare demand shared knowledge, shared responsibility, and shared action. Together, we want to actively contribute to knowledge sharing and exchange of experience across countries, disciplines, and stakeholder groups, so that everyone who works with or cares for dogs can benefit from the best available insights. Our collaboration also reflects a joint commitment to sustainability in animal health care - promoting preventive measures, responsible breeding and ownership, and veterinary practices that support long-term, healthy lives for dogs and a resilient dog community for the future. Research is a cornerstone of this work. Agria’s research Foundation has since 1938 funded veterinary research projects. Through our engagement in research, we help generate new, evidence-based knowledge and make results accessible to the wider community. By connecting this research with IPFD’ global network and platforms, we ensure that what we learn can be translated into real improvements for dogs and the people who care about them, worldwide.
